Featuring Steps’ most beloved hit songs, HERE & NOW has an original book by Shaun Kitchener and is produced by the band and ROYO with Pete Waterman.

The production is directed by Rachel Kavanaugh, with choreography by Olivier Award-winner Matt Cole and musical supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Matt Spencer-Smith.

Set in seaside superstore Better Best Bargains, the musical follows Caz and her friends as they navigate love, betrayal, and the pursuit of happiness. “Have they all lost their chance of a ‘happy ever after’? Or does love have other plans in store…”

Steps (Claire Richards, Faye Tozer, Ian ‘H’ Watkins, Lee Latchford-Evans and Lisa Scott-Lee) are the UK’s most successful mixed-sex pop group of all time, with 14 top five singles, four number one albums, and over 22 million record sales.

Their hits featured in the musical include Tragedy/Heartbeat, Stomp, One For Sorrow, Better Best Forgotten, 5,6,7,8, Last Thing On My Mind, Love’s Got A Hold Of My Heart, and Chain Reaction.

The creative team also includes Tom Rogers (set design), Gabriella Slade (costume design), Howard Hudson (lighting design), Adam Fisher (sound design), Sam Cox (wigs and hair), Jackie Saundercock (make-up), and Will Burton for Grindrod Burton Casting.

Rebecca Lock and Finty Williams will perform in the production until November 2025, with further casting to be announced.
