New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich marks a major milestone this festive season with Beauty and the Beast, celebrating 25 years of its award-winning Rock’n’Roll pantomimes.

Running from 21 November 2025 to 17 January 2026, the production promises magical adventure, classic panto gags, and a soundtrack of rock and pop hits performed live by a talented cast of actor-musicians.

The cast features returning favourites including Max Gallagher (Sleeping Beauty) as Dame Mrs Ringer, Signe Larsson (Sleeping Beauty) as Snarlina, Myles Miller (Dick Whittington) as Jacques Le Plop, Eloise Richardson (Dick Whittington) as Pigeon, and Neil Urquhart (Jack and the Beanstalk) as the Beast.

Joining them are Leo Elso, Nis Raza Hamilton, Ceri-Ann Townsend and Christian Tyler-Wood.

Beauty and the Beast is written by Vikki Stone, with direction by Jake Smith. The creative team also includes Myles Brown (Choreographer), Callum Macdonald (Lighting Designer), Christianna Mason (Associate Set & Costume Designer), Paul Schofield (Musical Director), Libby Todd (Set & Costume Designer), and Matthew Tuckey (Sound Designer).

The theatre’s Pay It Forward campaign returns, helping provide tickets to those who might not otherwise experience the magic of panto. Last year’s initiative raised over £4,000 through public donations.

Accessible performances include Audio Described, Captioned, British Sign Language interpreted, and Relaxed/Dementia-friendly options. Pre-show Touch Tours are also available.

Friday evenings will feature ‘Late Night Specials’ at 9pm, aimed at audiences aged 16+, with strong language and playful on-stage antics.

Listings and ticket information can be found here.
