Blair Russell Productions has announced a three-week extension of Pop Off, Michelangelo! by Dylan MarcAurele, now running until 13 July at Underbelly Boulevard Soho.

Directed by Joe McNeice, the cast includes Aidan MacColl as Leonardo da Vinci, Aoife Haakenson as Mother, Kurran Dhand as Salai, Laura Sillett as Savonarola, Max Eade as Michelangelo, Michael Marouli as Pope, and Sev Keoshgerian as Italian Chef.

Pop Off, Michelangelo! tells the story of best-pals-turned-bitter-rivals Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. A bloodthirsty friar is on the hunt for homosexuals in Renaissance Italy just as childhood friends Mike and Leo realize they both like boys. Terrified, they devise a plan to gain God’s forgiveness by becoming the greatest religious artists of all time. Featuring an original electropop score, this high-camp musical comedy is an unhinged adventure not to be missed.

Dylan MarcAurele, a New York-based writer, is the recent winner of the Jonathan Larson Grant and the Richard Rodgers Award. His credits include MEG4N and The Real Housewives of NYC: The Musical.
