London’s smash-hit comedy Cockfosters is back for a festive run at Southwark Playhouse Borough from 4th December 2025 to 3rd January 2026.
Following five sell-out runs, including a packed three-week stint in May, Cockfosters promises another “enter-train-ing” ride of surreal comedy, original music, and tube-inspired chaos.
Strangers James and Tori meet on the Piccadilly Line at Heathrow and travel across London on a journey they’ll never forget. One Tube Carriage. Thirty-eight Stops. Zero Refunds.
The production welcomes Princess Donnough and Verity Bajoria to the cast, joining returners Beth Lilly, Emily Waters, Liam Horrigan, Sam Rees-Baylis and Charlie Keable. The ensemble boasts West End credits, immersive comedy experience and national tour pedigree.
The cast includes:
- Liam Horrigan – The Play That Goes Wrong, Cluedo, Ben Hur
- Emily Waters – Bleak Expectations, SPY MOVIE: The Play!, The Gruffalo
- Beth Lilly – The Railway Children, The Play That Goes Wrong
- Charlie Keable – Sh*tFaced Shakespeare, News Revue
- Princess Donnough – The Wedding Speech, Sh*tFaced Shakespeare
- Sam Rees-Baylis – A Grave Situation, Lost Boys
- Verity Bajoria – The Three Musketeers, In and Out of Chekhov’s Shorts
Writers Hamish Clayton and Tom Woffenden said:
“We’re thrilled the ride continues, as the show continues to build up a head of steam. After tube-strikes threatened to ‘derail’ our run in 2024 and TFL slapped us on the wrist in 2023, we can’t imagine what train-shaped obstacle will come our way next! The show will be bigger, better and even more chaotic than ever and we can’t wait to bring it back to Southwark Playhouse – a brilliant champion for new work. The show is thriving on a bigger platform and we’re delighted that even more passengers can share in the madness. Who knows where the next stop could be?”
Directed by Hamish Clayton, Cockfosters features set design by Gareth Rowntree, lighting by Ben Sayers, and original songs by Rich Longdon and Tom Woffenden.
The production has been previously featured on BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio London and LondonLive TV, and has earned over 40 four- and five-star reviews.
