Casting Announced for Robin Hood: The Arrow of Destiny at Theatre Peckham

Malachi Green, Ayanna Christie-Brown, Guy Navarro, Geoff Aymer, TerriAnn Oudjar and Ray Newe, have been cast in Robin Hood: The Arrow of Destiny, a reimagining by Richard Hurford, inspired by the much-loved children’s classic. Music and lyrics are by Rob Castell, incorporating rap, salsa and reggae beats.

The six-strong cast includes Theatre Peckham alumni Malachi Green and newcomers Ayanna Christie-Brown and Gustavo Navarro alongside acting stalwarts Geoff Aymer, Ray Newe, TerriAnn Oudjar. Joining the cast on stage will be 40 children who form part of Theatre Peckham’s renowned arts education and training programme.

The production marks the venue’s new artistic director Suzann McLean’s inaugural production, since joining in September 2018.

       

Robin Hood: The Arrow of Destiny, introduces young audiences to a current take on the characters found in this children’s classic. Rob Castell’s music and lyrics incorporate rap, salsa and reggae beats. This play with songs promises to be a festive treat for all the family with a show packed full of comedy, action, adventure and song. Forget the legends, forget the stories, this Robin Hood is real.

Robin Hood: The Arrow of Destiny is at Theatre Peckham 4th to 22nd December 2018.
