Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch has announced full casting for its flagship family pantomime Robin Hood, which runs from 18 November 2026 to 2 January 2027.
Written by Kate Lovell and James Watson, with original music and lyrics by Andrew Linham and direction by Kash Arshad, the production reimagines the classic story in the Forest of Havering.
The adventure follows Robin Hood, Maid Marian and their Merry Band as they take on the greedy Sheriff of Havering in a festive tale filled with audience participation, catchy songs, daring escapades and plenty of panto magic.
Folarin Akinmade takes on the title role of Robin Hood. His previous credits include The Lord of the Rings: A Musical Tale and Perfect Show For Rachel.
Returning Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch favourite Lauren Chinery will play Cyril the Squirrel, having appeared in recent pantomimes as Pat the Cow in Jack and the Beanstalk and Buttons in Cinderella.
The cast also includes Killian Macardle as Nanny Molly Coddle, Verity Bajoria as Maid Marian, Tom Vercnocke as the Sheriff of Havering, Megan Ashley as Tucky, Georgia Leila Stoller as Dave the Intern, Elizabeth Ellen as Ellen-a-Dale and Perry Meadowcroft as Little John.
The production reunites writers Kate Lovell and James Watson following the success of last year’s Jack and the Beanstalk.
Director Kash Arshad said, “This is a wonderful cast, we have found not only the crème de la crème of actor musician talent, both locally and nationally, they are all joyful, silly, hilarious and have that all important pantomime sparkle that makes a Hornchurch Panto. They will bring so much fun and laughter and delight to the much-loved story of Robin Hood. Audiences are in for a real treat.”
Designed by Elizabeth Wright, the creative team also includes choreographer Tara Young, lighting designer Adam Foley, sound designer Emily Drohan and musical director Andrew Linham.
Suitable for all ages, the production runs for approximately 140 minutes including an interval and includes a range of accessible performances throughout the season.
