Tonight, Craig Revel Horwood takes over the role of Miss Hannigan in Annie at The Piccadilly Theatre.

Best known on television as a judge on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, Craig Revel Horwood received great critical acclaim in Foster’s production of Annie that toured the UK in 2015.  During his 10-week run, because of his Strictly Come Dancing commitments, he will not play the role of Miss Hannigan on Saturdays. Annie continues at the Piccadilly Theatre booking to 18 February 2018.

Craig Revel Horwood said: “I am so looking forward to my first performance at the Piccadilly Theatre tonight when I join the Annie company to play the wicked Miss Hannigan ahead my return to the BBC’s Strictly judging panel.  Given the opportunity, I wonder how Miss Hannigan would use her conniving ways and devious antics to get her hands on the fab-u-lous Strictly glitter ball!”

Set in 1930s New York during The Great Depression, brave young Annie is forced to live a life of misery and torment at Miss Hannigan’s orphanage. Her luck changes when she is chosen to spend Christmas at the residence of famous billionaire, Oliver Warbucks. Meanwhile, spiteful Miss Hannigan has other ideas and hatches a plan to spoil Annie’s search for her true family…
