Three-time Oscar nominee and Tony, Emmy and Grammy winner Cynthia Erivo is set to make her long-awaited return to the West End stage in Dracula, a bold one-actor adaptation of Bram Stoker’s gothic masterpiece.
Directed and adapted by Tony Award® nominee Kip Williams, Dracula will begin previews at Noël Coward Theatre on 4 February 2026, with opening night scheduled for 17 February. The strictly limited 16-week season will run until 30 May 2026.
Priority tickets go on sale Monday 22 September, with general on-sale to follow in October. Listings and ticket information can be found here.
Erivo, who recently starred as Elphaba in Universal Pictures’ Wicked: For Good, will portray all 23 characters in this radical reimagining — including Jonathan Harker, Mina Murray, Lucy Westenra, Van Helsing, and Count Dracula themself.
“Her return to the stage marks a landmark moment in contemporary theatre: a rare opportunity for West End audiences to witness one of the world’s most extraordinary talents at the height of her powers,” said producers Michael Cassel and Adam Kenwright.
Dracula is the final instalment in Kip Williams’ gothic trilogy, following his acclaimed productions of The Picture of Dorian Gray and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. First staged by Sydney Theatre Company in 2024, the production captivated audiences with its innovative use of ‘cine-theatre’ — blending live video, pre-recorded film, and live performance.
Williams is joined by an award-winning creative team including Marg Horwell (set and costume design), Nick Schlieper (lighting), Clemence Williams (composer), Jessica Dunn (sound), Craig Wilkinson (video), and Zahra Newman (dramaturg).
Through Erivo’s transformative solo performance, Dracula explores the psychological tension between fear and desire, blurring the boundaries between self and other in a haunting meditation on identity and monstrosity.
