Production photography has been released for the Royal Shakespeare Company’s critically acclaimed Cyrano de Bergerac, as the show begins previews in the West End ahead of its press night on 25 June.
The limited 12-week run is now underway at the Noël Coward Theatre, following a successful run in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Adrian Lester reprises his acclaimed performance in the title role, joined by Susannah Fielding as Roxane and Levi Brown as Christian.
This new version of Edmond Rostand’s classic play is co-adapted by director Simon Evans and Debris Stevenson, bringing a contemporary perspective to the story of love, identity and longing.
The production follows Cyrano, a brilliant poet and soldier whose wit masks deep insecurities, as he helps the handsome but inarticulate Christian win Roxane’s heart.
Returning cast members include Joseph Christain, Sunny Chung, Philip Cumbus, Greer Dale-Foulkes, Rachel Dawson, Oliver Grant, Scott Handy, David Mildon, Matt Mordak, Daniel Norford, Chris Nayak, Christian Patterson and Josh Sneesby.
Robert Jackson joins the cast alongside Taiva Hove, Joshua Maduike and Elim Mapira, with Fergus Murphy, Lizzie May Bell and Joe Butcher appearing as members of Cyrano’s band.
The creative team includes set and costume designer Grace Smart, lighting designer Joshie Harriette, composer Alex Baranowski and sound designer Donato Wharton.
Cyrano de Bergerac runs at the Noël Coward Theatre until 5 September 2026.
