Previews begin this evening for Disney’s Hercules at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, and Disney Theatrical Group has announced that the production will now extend its run until 28 March 2026.

With music by Alan Menken and lyrics by David Zippel, Hercules features a brand-new book by Robert Horn and Kwame Kwei-Armah. The production is directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, with co-choreography by Tanisha Scott.

Inspired by the 1997 animated film from Walt Disney Studios, Hercules brings the mythological tale to life on stage. The original film, directed by John Musker and Ron Clements, was nominated for an Academy Award® for Best Original Song for “Go the Distance.”

The cast includes Luke Brady as Hercules, with Candace Furbert, Sharlene Hector, Brianna Ogunbawo, Malinda Parris, and Robyn Rose-Li as the Muses. Mae Ann Jorolan stars as Meg, Trevor Dion Nicholas as Phil, and Stephen Carlile as Hades.

Also featured are Craig Gallivan and Lee Zarrett as Bob and Charles, with a large ensemble cast including Rhianne Alleyne, Lana Antoniou, Daisy Barnett, Felipe Bejarano, and many more.

The creative team includes scenic and video design by Dane Laffrey, costumes by Gregg Barnes and Sky Switser, lighting by Jeff Croiter, and sound by Adam Fisher. Special effects are designed by Jeremy Chernick, with hair and wigs by Mia M. Neal and make-up by Kirk Cambridge-Del Pesche.

Music supervision and arrangements are by Michael Kosarin, with orchestrations by Danny Troob and Joseph Joubert. Casting is by Natalie Gallacher CDG for Pippa Ailion and Natalie Gallacher Casting.

The production promises “a wise-cracking, column-shaking, underworld-rocking ride of adventure, self-discovery, and love. In tunics.”
