First look production images from Disney’s High School Musical, currently playing at Lowry in Salford, have been released.
The new photographs showcase the production’s vibrant staging and introduce audiences to Tobias Turley as Troy Bolton, Leonor Correia as Gabriella Montez, Caitlin Tipping as Sharpay Evans, Luke Bayer as Ryan Evans and Disney icon KayCee Stroh as Ms Darbus.
The production also stars Jason Donovan as Coach Bolton during the Lowry run, with Harry Judd set to assume the role when the musical transfers to Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre in London.
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the beloved Disney Channel film, High School Musical features a book by David Simpatico with music adapted, arranged and produced by Bryan Louiselle. The stage adaptation includes fan favourites including Breaking Free, We’re All In This Together, Get’cha Head in the Game and Stick to the Status Quo.
The first UK non-replica production is co-directed by Hope Mill Theatre founders Joseph Houston and William Whelton, with choreography by Aaron Renfree.
Alongside the principal cast, the company includes Char Burnett, Jordan Benjamin, Simeon Beckett, Olivia O’Connor, Yna Tresvalles, Curtis Patrick, Alexander Black, Eleanor Bye, Harriet Caplan-Dean, Alison Driver, Conor Luke Drury, Mary Francis, Sonia Gil-Lubeiro, Tamsin January, Joseph Lennox, Lucas Morlotti, Katie Mulligan, André Phipps, Meg Silsby, Kade Stenson, Ethan Vijn and Eddie Zickerman.
Produced by Hope Mill Theatre and Chris Harper Productions in association with Lowry, the production will continue in Salford until 19 September before transferring to London from 12 October 2026.
