Following acclaimed seasons in Australia and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Arthur Hull returns with FLOP! The Best Songs From The Worst Musicals, a joyous celebration of musical theatre’s most infamous failures.

Created and performed by Australian entertainer Arthur Hull, this fast-paced cabaret dives headfirst into Broadway and West End history, shining a spotlight on productions that may have flopped commercially or critically but still contain unforgettable songs. Audiences can expect selections from cult favourites and notorious misfires including Carrie the Musical, King Kong, Love Never Dies, Moby Dick: A Whale of a Tale and Diana The Musical, alongside plenty more theatrical curiosities.

Hull brings impressive credentials to the stage. A finalist on Adam Lambert’s team on The Voice Australia and Australia’s National Busking Champion 2024, he created FLOP! as his first solo show. Since then, the production has enjoyed significant success, winning Best Emerging Artist at the Adelaide Fringe Awards and Best Entertainment at the Dark Chat Awards during its Edinburgh run.

Produced by James Seabright, the show combines musical performance, comedy and fascinating theatrical trivia into an affectionate tribute to the productions that dared to dream big, even when they missed the mark.

FLOP! runs at Gilded Balloon Teviot from 6 – 30 August at 18:45. Tickets are on sale here
