This article refers to a production which has been cancelled.

Due to phenomenal demand, Eugenius! The Musical is to transfer to the West End for a strictly limited winter season.

A thrilling, high-energy 80s-inspired British musical with a superhero-sized heart and uplifting score, Eugenius! will end its second critically acclaimed run at The Other Palace – extended due to public demand – on Sunday 21 October and will open the following week at the Ambassadors Theatre.

Eugenius!, book music and lyrics by Ben Adams and Chris Wilkins, will run for a strictly limited 10-week season from Saturday 27 October 2018 – Saturday 5 January 2019.

Eugenius! has been nominated for 8 Off West End Awards including Best Musical, Best Male Performance in a Musical, Best Female Performance in a Musical, Lighting Design, Sound Design and Video Design

Producer Warwick Davis, the legendary Star Wars and Harry Potter actor, said: “We are thrilled to present Eugenius! in the West End – what an incredible, epic journey we have been on. At the beginning of 2018, Eugenius! had a buzz-filled, triumphant 6-week premiere at The Other Palace. The reaction was so incredible that we were invited back for another season. We tweaked, tickled, tightened and super-charged it, adding a new song and created Super Fan Sundays, giving our wonderful fans the opportunity to meet and quiz the cast and creative team. With many fans – or, rather, Eugenies – seeing it multiple times, their love for the show, the characters and earworm songs created a wonderful online community and the social media reaction has completely blown us all away. That buzz and army of supporters is now propelling us to the heart of the West End and we look forward to seeing audiences on their feet at every performance, punching the air and singing in unison, ‘Go Eugenius!’.”

Eugene is a teenage boy and briliant comic book artist whose dreams of a distant world of heroes and villains lead him to creating his very own superhero movie in Hollywood. Joined on his amazing adventures by best friends Janey and Feris, our intrepid hero reaches for the stars, finds the superhero within, saves the world from earthbound villains – and those from distant galaxies – and along the way, falls in love! With a hilarious script and dynamite original songs that’ll be stuck in your head for weeks, this shot of musical adrenaline is like nothing you’ve seen or heard before!

The full transfer cast will be announced soon.
