First look artwork has been released for the world premiere of The Hidden Dangers of Camping, a new play by Liesl Wilke, ahead of its run at Windsor Theatre Royal.
The production will star Charlie Brooks and Max Brown, and runs from 17 July to 25 July, with a gala night on 21 July.
Directed by Bronagh Lagan, the play centres on a family forced to confront buried truths as past and present collide over the course of a single weekend.
Charlie Brooks, known for her work on stage and screen including The Ocean at the End of the Lane and A Streetcar Named Desire, will lead the cast alongside Max Brown, whose credits include Downton Abbey and The Tudors.
They are joined by Polly Allen, Alix Dunmore, Sandra James-Young, Sophie Mensah, Scarlett Nunes, Stephen Rahman-Hughes, Olivia Woolhouse and Jess Nesling.
The Hidden Dangers of Camping follows Casey as she navigates the fallout from her daughter’s choices, drawing her back to a childhood camping trip that was not as idyllic as it first appeared.
Described as a gripping and emotional drama, the play explores themes of family, secrets and growing up too soon, blending humour with heartbreak.
The creative team includes casting director Rob Kelly, with production by Thomas Hopkins Productions.
