First rehearsal photos have been released of Christine Baranski and Richard E. Grant in Emily Burns’ new production of Noël Coward’s classic comedy Hay Fever, which runs at Wyndham’s Theatre from 22 September to 12 December 2026.
The production stars two-time Tony Award winner Christine Baranski as Judith Bliss alongside Academy Award nominee Richard E. Grant as David Bliss.
Joining them are Nancy Carroll, Will Close, Charles Edwards, Ophelia Lovibond, Ash Hunter, Lucy Karczewski and Jo McInnes. The company is completed by Helena Antoniou, Charlotte Avery, Alan Drake and Shaun Mendum.
Directed by Emily Burns, Hay Fever returns to the West End for a strictly limited season at Wyndham’s Theatre, a Delfont Mackintosh Theatre.
Noël Coward’s comedy follows the eccentric Bliss family as they each invite a guest to spend the weekend without informing the others, setting the stage for a chaotic and irresistibly funny series of misunderstandings.
The creative team features set and costume design by Frankie Bradshaw, lighting design by Oliver Fenwick and sound design by Tingying Dong. Bethan Clark serves as fight and intimacy director, with Danièle Lydon as dialect coach, Blythe Stewart as associate director, and casting by Jim Carnahan CSA and Liz Fraser CSA.
