Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has unveiled a first look at production images for Brigadoon, which opens this week in a major London revival after more than 35 years.

Directed and choreographed by Olivier Award winner Drew McOnie, this new adaptation of Lerner & Loewe’s classic musical is penned by acclaimed Scottish playwright Rona Munro.

Set in the magical Scottish Highlands, Brigadoon follows WW2 fighter pilots Tommy and Jeff as they stumble upon a mysterious village that appears for only one day every hundred years.

The cast includes Jasmine Jules Andrews as Jean MacLaren, Edward Baruwa as Andrew MacLaren, Norman Bowman as Archie Beaton, Danielle Fiamanya and Georgina Onuorah sharing the role of Fiona MacLaren, and Louis Gaunt as Tommy Albright.

Joining them are Cavan Clarke as Jeff Douglas, Nic Myers as Meg Brockie, Danny Nattrass as Harry Beaton, and Anne Lacey as Lundie, alongside a talented ensemble.

Drew McOnie said: “I’m thrilled to be directing this brilliant cast in my first season as Artistic Director of Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre. I can’t wait to work with this talented group of artists to bring Brigadoon back to the London stage after a 35-year absence, transporting audiences from Regent’s Park to the Scottish Highlands.”

The creative team includes Laura Bangay (Musical Director), Basia Bińkowska (Set Designer), Sami Fendall (Costume Designer), Jessica Hung Han Yun (Lighting Designer), and Nick Lidster for Autograph (Sound Designer).

Brigadoon features beloved songs such as “Almost Like Being in Love,” “Waitin’ for My Dearie,” and “The Heather on the Hill.”
