Producers of RENT have announced a special day seat ticket scheme for the upcoming West End production at London’s Tom Stoppard Theatre, offering audiences the chance to secure tickets from just £20 during the show’s preview period.
In a nod to the musical’s legendary Broadway rush policy, 100 stalls tickets will be made available for the first preview performance on 26 September 2026, priced at £20 each. The tickets can only be purchased in person from the Tom Stoppard Theatre box office from 12 noon on the day of the performance, with a limit of two tickets per person.
The initiative forms part of celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of Jonathan Larson’s Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical.
For all other preview performances up to 7 October, front-row seats will be available for £30 each. These tickets can be purchased in person at the box office from 10.30am on the day of the performance.
A digital lottery for day seats will also be introduced from 9 October, with further details set to be announced.
The production stars Gaten Matarazzo as Mark, Travis Ross as Roger, Alexa Lopez as Mimi, Billy Nevers as Collins, Lazy Violet as Maureen, Danielle Fiamanya as Joanne, Jeevan Braich as Angel and Joaquin Pedro Valdes as Benny.
Performances begin at the Tom Stoppard Theatre on 26 September 2026, ahead of an official opening night on 8 October. The production is currently booking through to 27 March 2027.
Set in New York’s East Village, RENT follows a group of young artists, musicians and friends as they navigate love, ambition and creativity while building lives on their own terms. Inspired by Puccini’s La Bohème, the musical has become one of the defining works of contemporary musical theatre, known for its enduring themes of friendship, community and living life to the fullest.
This new West End production is directed by Luke Sheppard and choreographed by Tom Jackson Greaves, with music, lyrics and book by Jonathan Larson.
