Pitlochry Festival Theatre has released first look production images for its new staging of Once, the opening production of Alan Cumming’s inaugural season as Artistic Director.

Running from 23 May to 27 June, the production features Dylan Wood as Guy and Lydia White as Girl, alongside Connor Going, Allison Harding, Laurie Jamieson, Sean McLevy, Loren O’Dair, Loris Scarpa, Jos Slovick and Charlie West.

Set in Dublin, Once tells the story of a disillusioned street musician and a spirited Czech immigrant who inspire each other to pursue their dreams through music.

With the help of an unconventional group of friends and fellow musicians, the pair come together to create an album that transforms their lives.

The musical features a book by Enda Walsh, with music and lyrics by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, and is based on John Carney’s 2007 film which included the Oscar-winning song “Falling Slowly”.
