Production images have been released for the first UK tour of The Talented Mr Ripley, which opened at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham on 4 September. The press night will take place on 23 September at the Birmingham Hippodrome.

The tour stars Ed McVey (The Crown, Netflix) as Tom Ripley, Maisie Smith (EastEnders, BBC) as Marge Sherwood, and Bruce Herbelin-Earle as Dickie Greenleaf. They are joined by Christopher Bianchi, Cary Crankson, Leda, Jason Eddy, Lachlan McCall, Hollie Sullivan and Aldous Ciokajlo-Squire.

The Talented Mr Ripley follows Tom Ripley, a nobody who is offered the chance to travel to Italy and retrieve the wealthy Dickie Greenleaf. But as Tom becomes entangled in Dickie’s glamorous lifestyle, his obsession spirals into deception, identity theft, and murder.

Set in 1950s Italy, this stage adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s iconic novel promises razor-sharp dialogue, psychological intensity, and a chillingly charismatic antihero.

The production is adapted and directed by Mark Leipacher, with set and costume design by Holly Pigott, associate design by Ellen Farrell, lighting by Zeynep Kepekli, sound by Max Pappenheim, and casting by Marc Frankum CDG.
