New rehearsal images have been released for Disney’s High School Musical, offering audiences a look inside the rehearsal room as the company prepares for the first UK non-replica production of the hit musical.
The newly released photographs feature the cast bringing the students of East High to life ahead of the show’s opening at Lowry, Salford, before it transfers to London’s Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre.
Leading the company are Tobias Turley as Troy Bolton, Leonor Correia as Gabriella Montez, Caitlin Tipping as Sharpay Evans and Luke Bayer as Ryan Evans.
Disney favourite KayCee Stroh, who played Martha Cox in the original film series, returns to the world of High School Musical as Ms Darbus.
Jason Donovan will play Coach Bolton during the Lowry run, with Harry Judd taking over the role for the London engagement.
The supporting cast includes Char Burnett as Taylor McKessie, Jordan Benjamin as Chad Danforth, Simeon Beckett as Zeke Baylor, Olivia O’Connor as Martha Cox, Yna Tresvalles as Kelsi Nielson and Curtis Patrick as Jack Scott.
They are joined by Alexander Black, Eleanor Bye, Harriet Caplan-Dean, Alison Driver, Conor Luke Drury, Mary Francis, Sonia Gil-Lubeiro, Tamsin January, Joseph Lennox, Lucas Morlotti, Katie Mulligan, André Phipps, Meg Silsby, Kade Stenson, Ethan Vijn and Eddie Zickerman.
Based on the beloved Disney Channel Original Movie, High School Musical features a book by David Simpatico, with music adapted, arranged and produced by Bryan Louiselle.
The production is co-directed by Joseph Houston and William Whelton, with choreography by Aaron Renfree.
Audiences can look forward to iconic songs including Breaking Free, We’re All In This Together, Get’cha Head in the Game and Stick to the Status Quo.
The musical opens at Lowry on 22 August 2026, running until 19 September, before transferring to Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre from 12 October 2026.
