Flo & Joan’s hit comedy show One Man Musical is set to return to Soho Theatre this summer before heading back to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
The acclaimed production will run at Soho Theatre from Wednesday 17 June to Friday 3 July at 9pm, before transferring to The Pleasance Beyond for the Fringe from Wednesday 5 August to Sunday 30 August at 4:50pm.
Following a triumphant debut at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2024, the show has since enjoyed successful runs at Melbourne Comedy Festival, Soho Theatre, and Underbelly Boulevard.
For this new run, Edward Easton will take on the starring role, stepping into the spotlight as the titular performer.
Easton is known for his work with sketch group Tarot and screen appearances in Porters, Starstruck, and The Horne Section TV Show.
The musical, created and performed by Flo & Joan, sees the comedy duo, sisters Nicola and Rosie Dempsey, provide live music on stage as the central character finally tells his own story.
Presented by Avalon and directed by Georgie Staight, the show is supported by a live band, with Flo & Joan performing throughout as part of the action.
Since its premiere, One Man Musical has received widespread acclaim, including being named the No.1 Comedy Show of 2024 by The Guardian and Best Show of 2024 at the Chortle Awards.
The production has also been nominated for major accolades including Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2025 and Best Composer, Lyricist or Book Writer at the Stage Debut Awards 2025.
Previous runs starred George Fouracres in the lead role, while the production recently won Best Production at the Offies 2026 and received two additional nominations.
Critical praise for the show has been strong, with Brian Logan writing: “Audiences will love it – even if the lawyers demur.”
Dominic Maxwell described it as “a triumphant spoof… It’s better than Cats”.
Tim Bano added: “They’ve just crammed in jokes. And those jokes are made even funnier by Fouracres’s absurdly overblown performance …brilliantly written, superbly performed and surprisingly thoroughly researched”.
