Speakerphone Productions and Soho Theatre have announced that HAM, the latest show from Hotter Project, will transfer to Soho Theatre following a critically acclaimed run at the 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
The production will run from 29 September to 31 October 2026, with a press performance scheduled for Friday 2 October.
Described as a “kinky eco-hijacking” of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, the show follows a grief-stricken vegan seeking revenge for the death of a pig. Blending comedy, cabaret and contemporary environmental concerns, the production explores meat consumption, morality and the climate crisis through Hotter Project’s distinctive theatrical style.
The show has enjoyed a successful Fringe run, earning a Gold Edinburgh Festival Fringe Award and five-star reviews from both The Telegraph and The Herald.
Created by theatre-making duo Mary Higgins and Ell Potter, HAM marks Hotter Project’s return to the Edinburgh Fringe with a newly devised work. The company previously found success with productions including HOTTER, FITTER and The Last Show Before We Die.
Mary Higgins and Ell Potter, co-founders of Hotter Project, said: “We couldn’t be more excited to bring our weird and meaty baby to Soho Theatre. We hope audiences love our butchered Hamlet and leave the show feeling horny, harrowed, and debating whether to eat or not to eat.”
The production is directed by Ursula Martinez, with set and costume design by Rūta Irbīte, lighting design by David Doyle, sound design by Tom Foskett-Barnes and movement direction by Abbi Greenland.
Produced by Speakerphone Productions and Soho Theatre, HAM will play at Soho Theatre Upstairs throughout October.
