The full cast has been announced for the first ever UK tour of BACK TO THE FUTURE The Musical, which opens at Bristol Hippodrome on 8 October 2026 before touring across the UK and Ireland through 2027.
Joining the previously announced Roger Bart and Brian Conley as Doc Brown, alongside Axel Duffy as Marty McFly, are James Oliver as George McFly, Danielle Rose as Lorraine Baines, Brandon Lee Sears as Goldie Wilson and Marvin Berry, Toby Shellard as Biff Tannen, Tash Bacarese-Hamilton as Jennifer Parker, Rhys Owen as Strickland, Katrina Stenning as Linda McFly, and Blake Jordan as Dave McFly.
The ensemble includes Chloe Bell, Nicole Carlisle, Tilly Ducker, Rebecca French, Tia Gyngell, Kai Harris, Katie Hutton, Keir Hylands, Arthur Janes, Stephen Lewis-Johnston, Zachary Miller, George Olney, Trézel Sergeant and Lashane Williams.
Arthur Janes will also play the role of Marty McFly at select performances.
Producers have also confirmed that Roger Bart will extend his run as Doc Brown, appearing at Bristol Hippodrome, Edinburgh Playhouse and Liverpool Empire. Brian Conley will take on the role during the production’s engagement at Milton Keynes Theatre, with further casting for Doc Brown to be announced for subsequent venues.
Based on the beloved Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment film trilogy created by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale, BACK TO THE FUTURE The Musical has become a global success, with productions currently running in multiple territories and more than 5.5 million people having seen the show worldwide.
The musical completed a record-breaking five-year run at London’s Adelphi Theatre in April 2026, where it was seen by more than 2.3 million people and won numerous awards, including Olivier, WhatsOnStage and Broadway World honours for Best New Musical.
Featuring a book by Bob Gale, original music and lyrics by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, and favourite songs from the film including The Power of Love and Johnny B. Goode, the stage adaptation brings Marty McFly’s time-travelling adventure to life with spectacular effects and theatrical innovation.
The production is directed by Tony Award-winner John Rando, with set and costume design by Tim Hatley, choreography by Chris Bailey, illusions by Chris Fisher, lighting by Tim Lutkin and Hugh Vanstone, sound by Gareth Owen, video design by Finn Ross, and musical supervision and arrangements by Nick Finlow.
The inaugural UK tour will visit Bristol, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Sunderland, Bradford, Southampton, Manchester, Plymouth and Cardiff, with further venues still to be announced.
