Lee Dean and Daniel Schumann have announced the full cast for the extended UK tour of Little Women, a new stage adaptation by Anne-Marie Casey, based on Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel.

The production, directed by Loveday Ingram, will begin its autumn tour at Salisbury Playhouse from 3–13 September, before visiting seven more venues across the UK, concluding at Liverpool Playhouse from 4–8 November.

Joining the previously announced Belinda Lang (Sister Boniface Mysteries, 2point4 Children) as Aunt March, are Juliet Aubrey (Middlemarch, Professor T, All Creatures Great and Small) as Marmee, and Natalie Dunne (Locked Up Abroad) as Jo.

The cast also includes Tom Richardson as Brooke/Bhaer, Jewelle Hutchinson as Amy, Megan Richards as Beth, Jade Oswald as Meg, and Perry Williams as Laurie.

Anne-Marie Casey’s adaptation breathes new life into one of literature’s most enduring stories.

“Little Women is as relevant today as it was at the time of its first release, proving that women can be bold, persistent, self-assured, and the heroes of their own story,” say the producers.

Audiences will be transported into the world of the March sisters—Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy—as they navigate love, ambition, and family during the American Civil War.

Following the success of Greta Gerwig’s film adaptation, this new theatrical version promises a heartwarming and spirited celebration of sisterhood.

“Anne-Marie Casey’s masterful new adaptation of Little Women… is filled with laughter, tears and a theatrical, heartwarming lifting of the spirits,” the producers add.

The creative team includes designer Ruari Murchison, lighting designer Mike Robertson, composer and sound designer Mathew Bugg, and movement director Mike Ashcroft.
