“I never wanted to murder anyone. It was necessary.”
Set in 1950s Italy, the story follows Tom Ripley, a man offered the chance to retrieve the wealthy Dickie Greenleaf from abroad. But as Tom becomes entangled in Dickie’s glamorous world, obsession leads to deception, identity theft, and murder.
This thrilling stage adaptation promises razor-sharp dialogue, psychological intensity, and a chillingly charismatic antihero.
The Talented Mr Ripley features set and costume design by Holly Pigott (Fleabag, Wyndham’s Theatre), associate design by Ellen Farrell, lighting by Zeynep Kepekli (The Little Mermaid, Bristol Old Vic), sound by Max Pappenheim (The Night of the Iguana, Noel Coward Theatre), and casting by Marc Frankum CDG (The Woman in Black, Fortune Theatre).
Produced by Jack Maple and Thomas Hopkins, the production is created by The Faction (Macbeth, Stephen Joseph Theatre; My Last Duchess, The Lowry).
