Following a critically acclaimed 2025 tour, The Talented Mr Ripley will extend into 2026 with new UK dates announced by producers Jack Maple, Thomas Hopkins, SAMS Entertainment and Carl Moellenberg.

The first-ever UK and international tour of Patricia Highsmith’s iconic thriller will recommence on 19 January 2026 at York Grand Opera House and run through to 2 May 2026 at Salisbury Playhouse.

Returning to their roles are Ed McVey (The Crown, Netflix) as Tom Ripley, Maisie Smith (Eastenders, BBC) as Marge Sherwood, and Bruce Herbelin-Earle (Free Reign, Netflix) as Dickie Greenleaf.

The production will visit venues in Aberdeen, Windsor, Salisbury and more, with international dates also planned.

Described by The Stage as a “thrilling adaptation” (★★★★) and WhatsOnStage as “ingenious stories and brilliantly multi-faceted characters” (★★★★), The Talented Mr Ripley is adapted and directed by Mark Leipacher.

The cast also includes Christopher Bianchi (Othello, Tobacco Factory), Cary Crankson (Death of England, National Theatre), Leda (Antigone, UK Tour), Jason Eddy (Othello, Royal Shakespeare Theatre), Lachlan McCall (A Christmas Carol, OVO Theatre), Hollie Sullivan (The Mousetrap, UK), and Aldous Ciokajlo-Squire (Doctor Who, BBC/Disney+).

2025 marks the 70th anniversary of Highsmith’s novel, which inspired the Oscar-nominated 2000 film starring Matt Damon, Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow, and the 2024 Netflix adaptation starring Andrew Scott.

“I never wanted to murder anyone. It was necessary.”

Set in 1950s Italy, this gripping stage adaptation explores deception, desire and deadly ambition as Tom Ripley’s obsession spirals into a chilling web of lies and murder.

The Talented Mr Ripley features set and costume design by Holly Pigott, associate design by Ellen Farrell, lighting by Zeynep Kepekli, sound by Max Pappenheim, movement by Sarita Piotroswki, wigs and makeup by Craig Forrest-Thomas, fight and intimacy direction by Haruka Kuroda, and casting by Marc Frankum CDG.

The production was created by The Faction and is produced by Jack Maple, Thomas Hopkins, SAMS Entertainment and Carl Moellenberg.
