Jermyn Street Theatre has announced full casting for its upcoming revival of Jerome Kilty’s Dear Liar, adapted from the correspondence of George Bernard Shaw and Mrs Patrick Campbell.

Directed by Artistic Director Stella Powell-Jones, the production opens on 10 February 2026, with previews from 5 February, and runs until 7 March.

Rachel Pickup will play Mrs Patrick Campbell, with Alan Turkington as George Bernard Shaw. Both actors return to Jermyn Street Theatre following previous acclaimed performances.

Powell-Jones said, “Dear Liar is both an epic forty-year journey and an intensely close-up portrait of two great artists. In their own words, we see how this relationship shaped their art and their lives, revealed through letters filled with love, wit, longing, and bitter recrimination.”

Set against the backdrop of world wars and cultural upheaval, Dear Liar charts the passionate, witty and sometimes tempestuous bond between two theatrical giants.
