Casting has been announced for the summer performances of the Olivier and Tony Award-winning comedy Oh, Mary! at London’s Trafalgar Theatre, where the production continues its West End run from 20 July to 26 September 2026.

Producers have also confirmed that performances on 28 July 2026 will be professionally filmed at the Trafalgar Theatre, with playwright and Tony Award winner Cole Escola reprising their acclaimed performance as Mary Todd Lincoln for the recording.

Tickets for the filmed performances are priced at £45 and went on sale at 2pm on Wednesday 15 July via the show’s official website.

The cast for the filmed performances will feature Giles Terera returning as Mary’s Husband, a role that earned him an Olivier Award nomination earlier this year. He is joined by two-time Emmy Award nominee Michael Urie as Mary’s Teacher, alongside original Oh, Mary! cast members Bianca Leigh as Mary’s Chaperone and Tony Macht as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant.

Additional summer casting has also been revealed, with Scott Karim taking over the role of Mary’s Husband from 17 August, Dino Fetscher playing Mary’s Teacher from 3 August, Kate O’Donnell as Mary’s Chaperone from 3 August, and Oliver Stockley as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant from 3 August.

For performances from 20 July to 15 August, Cole Escola will lead the company as Mary Todd Lincoln. From 17 August until 26 September, the role will be played by Jinkx Monsoon, marking the award-winning performer’s West End debut in the production.

The summer casting schedule will see Cole Escola, Giles Terera, Michael Urie, Bianca Leigh and Tony Macht perform together from 20 July to 1 August. From 3 to 15 August, Dino Fetscher, Kate O’Donnell and Oliver Stockley join the company, while from 17 August Jinkx Monsoon and Scott Karim take over the roles of Mary Todd Lincoln and Mary’s Husband respectively.

The production recently extended its West End run and is now booking through to 2 January 2027. Current star Mason Alexander Park will play their final performance as Mary Todd Lincoln on 18 July, while Kate O’Donnell, Oliver Stockley, Dino Fetscher and Scott Karim are scheduled to depart on 26 September. Further casting from 28 September onwards will be announced at a later date.

Written by Cole Escola and directed by Sam Pinkleton, Oh, Mary! is a dark comedy that reimagines the final weeks of Mary Todd Lincoln’s life before Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. The 80-minute one-act play explores unfulfilled ambitions, alcoholism and desire through Escola’s distinctive comic lens.

Since premiering off-Broadway in January 2024, the production has become an international hit. Following a record-breaking Broadway transfer in July 2024, Oh, Mary! arrived in the West End in December 2025 and went on to win Best Entertainment or Comedy Play at the Olivier Awards.

The comedy has also earned major accolades in the United States, including Tony Awards for Best Leading Actor in a Play for Cole Escola and Best Direction of a Play for Sam Pinkleton, alongside Drama League Awards for Outstanding Play and Outstanding Direction of a Play. The production was also recognised as a Pulitzer Prize finalist for Drama.
