Community outreach theatre company Beginners Please will bring HOME by Nadia Fall to the Trafalgar Theatre for a special one-night-only performance on Sunday 15 November 2026.
Directed by Michael Speight, HOME offers an extraordinary insight into the lives of residents living in a London homeless hostel and the people who work there.
The play follows Jade, who is pregnant and trying to sort her housing benefit, Bullet, who is ignoring the threat of eviction in the hope it will disappear, Tattoo Boy, who is frustrated by the state of the country, and Sharon, the figure holding the community together at Target East.
Every word of the play is taken verbatim from more than 30 hours of interviews conducted by Nadia Fall. While the names have been changed, the stories remain authentic to the experiences shared.
Beginners Please is a theatre company dedicated to widening access to the performing arts for people who have experienced significant hardship. This year’s company is made up of amateur actors with lived experience of homelessness.
The production marks a major milestone for the cast, with every member making their West End debut on the Trafalgar Theatre stage. Several performers also bring their own experiences of homelessness to the work, adding an additional layer of authenticity to the production.
Described as being told “with grace and reverence”, HOME aims to leave audiences “laughing, crying and thinking what does home mean to you?”
The performance takes place at 7pm on Sunday 15 November 2026 at Trafalgar Theatre, Whitehall, London, with tickets available from £25.
