Producers Barry and Fran Weissler and David Ian for Crossroads Live have announced full casting for the UK and Ireland tour of Waitress, which opens at the New Wimbledon Theatre on Saturday 28 March 2026.
The newly announced company joins Carrie Hope Fletcher as Jenna, Sandra Marvin as Becky, Evelyn Hoskins as Dawn and Les Dennis as Joe. New principal cast members include Dan Partridge as Dr Pomatter, Mark Anderson as Ogie, Mark Wilshire as Earl and Dan O’Brien as Cal.
The ensemble will feature Will Arundell, Yochabel Asante, Alice Croft, Jamie Doncaster, Daniel George-Wright, Will Hardy, Bayley Hart, Olivia Lallo, Emma Lucia, David Mairs-McKenzie and Ellie Ruiz Rodriguez.
Carrie Hope Fletcher will perform until Saturday 20 June 2026, excluding the Sunderland dates from 4 to 9 May. Casting for Jenna beyond that date will be announced in due course.
Dan Partridge recently appeared as Charlie Price in the UK and European tour of Kinky Boots, following roles in Here and Now, Evita, Grease, CATS and Hairspray. Mark Anderson’s credits span Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, Allegiance, School of Rock and The Book of Mormon, alongside several major UK tours. Mark Wilshire returns to Waitress after covering Earl in the original West End production, and Dan O’Brien’s work includes Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, Mamma Mia and Jersey Boys.
Based on the 2007 film by Adrienne Shelly, Waitress features music and lyrics by Grammy Award-winner Sara Bareilles and a book by Jessie Nelson. The production is directed by Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus with choreography by Lorin Latarro. Since premiering on Broadway in 2016, the musical has enjoyed global success with productions across North America, Japan, Holland, Canada and Mexico, with Australian engagements to come in 2026.
The story follows Jenna, a gifted pie maker trapped in a loveless marriage. When a baking contest and the arrival of a new doctor offer unexpected possibilities, she must find the courage to rebuild her life with the support of her friends. The musical celebrates friendship, motherhood and the transformative power of creativity.
