The critically acclaimed West End production of Hadestown has announced a major extension at the Lyric Theatre, with bookings now open through to June 2027.
Producers have released more than 140,000 new tickets, covering performances from 17 December 2026 to 27 June 2027, including the festive season schedule.
The production, now in its third celebrated year in London, continues to attract audiences with its genre-defying blend of indie folk, pop, blues and New Orleans-inspired jazz.
Newly released clips and photography capture a unique recent performance at the V&A South Kensington, where cast and musicians performed songs from the show in the museum’s Medieval and Renaissance Gallery as part of its Performance Festival.
The current West End cast includes Rachel Adedeji as Persephone, Bethany Antonia as Eurydice, Marley Fenton as Orpheus, Alastair Parker as Hades and Clive Rowe as Hermes.
They are joined by Melanie Bright, Spike Maxwell and Lauran Rae as the Fates, alongside Femi Akinfolarin, Michelle Andrews, Gabriela Benedetti, Ollie Bingham and Sebastian Lim-Seet as Workers, with Juan Jackson, Oisín Nolan-Power, Lindo Shinda, Jasmine Triadi and Milly Willows as Swings.
Featuring music, lyrics and book by Anaïs Mitchell, and developed with director Rachel Chavkin, Hadestown intertwines the mythic love stories of Orpheus and Eurydice, and Hades and Persephone, in a powerful theatrical journey to the underworld and back.
The creative team includes choreographer David Neumann, scenic designer Rachel Hauck, costume designer Michael Krass, lighting designer Bradley King and sound designers Nevin Steinberg and Jessica Paz.
Hadestown is produced in London by Mara Isaacs, Dale Franzen, Hunter Arnold, Tom Kirdahy and the National Theatre in association with JAS Theatricals.
