The producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child have released first-look production images of the show’s latest cast while also announcing a major booking extension for the West End production.
More than 110,000 new tickets have been released for the reimagined one-part version of the play at the Palace Theatre, with performances now on sale through to 5 September 2027.
The newly released images showcase the first cast to perform the streamlined one-part production, which continues to tell the story 19 years after the events of the original Harry Potter series.
Joining the company are Ethan Rouse as Albus Potter, Zoë Rainey as Ginny Potter, Hasia Akwaboah as Rose Granger-Weasley, Adam Jackson-Smith as Draco Malfoy and Bill Stanley as Scorpius Malfoy.
They perform alongside continuing cast members David Ricardo-Pearce as Harry Potter, Thomas Aldridge as Ron Weasley and Naana Agyei Ampadu as Hermione Granger.
The production remains one of the West End’s biggest success stories, celebrating a decade at the Palace Theatre since opening in 2016. More than 2.5 million people have seen the London production, while over 14 million theatre-goers worldwide have experienced the play across its international productions.
Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, the play follows Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger as they return for a new adventure alongside the next generation of Hogwarts students.
The reimagined one-part version is presented in a single performance and features the same award-winning combination of theatrical illusions, stage magic and storytelling that has earned the production global acclaim.
The production has received more than 60 major honours worldwide, including a record-breaking nine Olivier Awards and six Tony Awards. It is currently running in London, New York, Tokyo, the Netherlands and on a North American tour.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is written by Jack Thorne and directed by John Tiffany, with movement by Steven Hoggett, set design by Christine Jones, costumes by Katrina Lindsay, music and arrangements by Imogen Heap, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Gareth Fry and illusions and magic by Jamie Harrison.
