Rehearsal images for Heathers the Musical have been released, offering audiences a first look at the upcoming London run and UK and Ireland tour.
Captured by photographer Mark Senior, the images provide a glimpse inside Westerberg High as the cult musical prepares to open at the Arts at Marble Arch this summer.
Gerardine Sacdalan will lead the company as Veronica Sawyer, following her acclaimed turn in the UK tour of @Juliet, which earned her a nomination for Best Professional Debut at the WhatsOnStage Awards.
She is joined by Louis Hearsey as Jason ‘J.D’ Dean, Liberty Stottor as Heather Chandler, Jessica Ibadin as Heather Duke and Lou Henry as Heather McNamara.
The wider cast includes Veronica Carabai, Sophie Manners, Markus Södergren, Beau Jackson, John GurdÃan, Reuben Browne, Christian De-Gallerie, Ellouise Delooze, Caitlin Garcia, Alexander Howarth, Charlotte O’Rourke, Thomas Oxley, Tola Sokoya and Carys Taylor.
Following record-breaking seasons in London, New York and Melbourne, Heathers the Musical returns to the capital for a strictly limited run of 52 performances.
The production will be the opening show at the Arts at Marble Arch, a new 594-seat venue located beside the iconic landmark and serving as the temporary home of the Arts Theatre during its redevelopment.
The London engagement runs from 9 July to 22 August 2026, before the show embarks on an extensive UK and Ireland tour beginning in Windsor on 26 August 2026.
Further tour stops include Leeds, Nottingham, Coventry, Darlington, Poole, Leicester, Peterborough, Sheffield, Blackpool, Cheltenham, Chichester, Dublin and Oxford in 2026, followed by Hull, Liverpool, York, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Bradford, Chelmsford and Torquay in spring 2027.
Based on the 1989 cult film starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater, Heathers the Musical first premiered in Los Angeles in 2013 before transferring to New York and later being reimagined for its London debut in 2018.
The show has since enjoyed multiple West End runs and UK tours, winning the 2019 WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Musical and building a devoted fanbase worldwide.
Directed by Andy Fickman, the production features choreography by Gary Lloyd, design by David Shields, lighting by Ben Cracknell, sound by Dan Samson and musical supervision by Jeremy Wootton and Will Joy.
