Into The Woods Announces New Cast Members At Bridge Theatre

New performers join the acclaimed London production from 20 April.

London Theatre Company has announced a series of new cast members joining Into The Woods at the Bridge Theatre from Monday 20 April. Melanie La Barrie will take on the role of the Witch, while John Owen-Jones joins as the Narrator and Mysterious Man.

Jack Quarton will step into the role of the Steward. Rachel Tucker will play the Baker’s Wife, and Jodie Jacobs joins the company as Standby.

Hughie O’Donnell, currently appearing as the Steward, will move into the role of the Baker.

       

They join original cast members Valda Aviks, Geoffrey Aymer, Bella Brown, Chumisa Dornford-May, Jo Foster, Jennifer Hepburn, Hana Ichijo, Julie Jupp, Gabrielle Lewis-Dodson, Gracie McGonigal, Oliver Savile, Rhys Whitfield and Standbys Taite-Elliot Drew, Jacob Fowler, Sophie Linder-Lee and Chloe Saracco.

The company will bid farewell to Katie Brayben, Kate Fleetwood, Michael Gould and Jamie Parker, who play their final performances on Saturday 18 April.

Into The Woods to transfer to the West End this autumn

Into The Woods, directed by Jordan Fein with set and costume design by Tom Scutt, continues at the Bridge Theatre until Saturday 30 May 2026. Tickets are available at bridgetheatre.co.uk.

The production has been nominated for 11 Olivier Awards, tying for the highest number of nominations in 2026. Categories include Best Musical Revival, Best Director and multiple design awards.

Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s musical intertwines beloved Grimm fairy tales, following characters such as the Baker, the Baker’s Wife, the Witch, Jack, Little Red Ridinghood, Cinderella and Rapunzel.

This marks the first major London production of Into The Woods since 2016.
