James Bradwell will star as Sergeant Gavin Troy opposite Daniel Casey as Inspector Tom Barnaby in the theatrical world premiere of Midsomer Murders: The Killings at Badger’s Drift.

Adapted and directed by Guy Unsworth, the production is based on Caroline Graham’s novel and the long-running ITV series produced by Bentley Productions in association with All3Media International.

The UK and Ireland tour opens at Richmond Theatre on 24 October 2025, with a national press night scheduled for Thursday 30 October. The tour has now been extended through to June 2026, with new dates added in Cambridge, Oxford and Dublin.

Joining the cast are Nathalie Barclay, Chandrika Chevli, John Dougall, Julie Legrand, Rupert Sadler, Chris Agha and Rhîan Crowley-McLean, who will portray the eccentric residents of Midsomer in a multi-roling ensemble.

The story begins when well-loved spinster Emily Simpson is found dead in the idyllic village of Badger’s Drift. Her friend Lucy Bellringer suspects foul play, prompting DCI Barnaby and Sergeant Troy to investigate a web of secrets, passions and rivalries.
