Lara Denning Joins Here & Now UK & Ireland Tour

West End actress Lara Denning will join the cast of the UK and Ireland tour of Here & Now, taking over the role of Caz from 11 November 2025.

Denning replaces Rebecca Lock, who will depart the production on 9 November.

Denning recently starred as Anne Hathaway in the UK and Ireland tour of & Juliet. Her extensive theatre credits include Sunset Boulevard, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Matilda, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, Eugenius!, Carousel, Scrooge The Musical, The Rocky Horror Show, and Dirty Dancing in Concert.

       

Her screen work includes I Came By, Matilda (Sony Pictures), Ruthless The Musical (BroadwayHD), Dick Whittington, Glass Body, and Leave a Light On, among others.

The current cast of Here & Now includes Rebecca Lock as Caz, Jacqui Dubois as Vel, Blake Patrick Anderson as Robbie, Rosie Singha as Neeta, Finty Williams as Patricia, River Medway as Jem, Chris Grahamson as Gareth, Edward Baker-Duly as Max, Ben Darcy as Ben, John Stacey as Lesley, and Lauren Woolf as Tracey.

Also appearing are Georgia Christofi, Kade Ferraiolo, Albert Green, Harry Jack, Casey Jay, Charlie-Jay Johnson, Rosemary Annabella Nkrumah, Dean Rickards, Markus Södergren, Genevieve Taylor, and Jessica Vaux.

Here & Now is a brand-new musical featuring the hit songs of UK pop sensation Steps. The show has an original book by Shaun Kitchener and is produced by Steps, ROYO, and Pete Waterman.

Direction is by Rachel Kavanaugh, with choreography by Olivier Award-winner Matt Cole. Musical supervision, orchestrations, and arrangements are by Matt Spencer-Smith.

Set in seaside superstore Better Best Bargains, the musical follows Caz and her friends as they navigate love, betrayal, and the pursuit of happiness.

       

Steps—Claire Richards, Faye Tozer, Ian ‘H’ Watkins, Lee Latchford-Evans, and Lisa Scott-Lee—are the UK’s most successful mixed-sex pop group, with 22 million record sales and 11 sold-out national arena tours.

The musical features many of their chart-topping hits including Tragedy, Stomp, One For Sorrow, Better Best Forgotten, 5,6,7,8, and Chain Reaction.
