Lazarus Theatre Third Greenwich Residency

Lazarus Theatre Third Greenwich Residency

Lazarus Theatre Company have announced details for their third season as part of their Greenwich Theatre Residency. Lazarus is an award-winning ensemble theatre company, re-imagining and revitalising classic work in visual, visceral and vibrant productions. 2018 saw the company become resident at the Greenwich Theatre, 2020 will be the third season of work in house.

The season will open with a blood drenched new production of Shakespeare’s supernatural Macbeth, followed by a startling new version of Ibsen’s colossal Hedda Gabler, and finally Lazarus will present a brand-new high-flying production of JM Barrie’s Peter Pan.

In response to the decline in arts participation, and in addition to their education work and in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Greenwich Theatre Lazarus will be offering 50 tickets at each performance for just a fiver to patrons aged 16 – 26.

Artsitic Director, Ricky Dukes said: “To be back at the Greenwich Theatre for a third year with a season that truly spans the classical repertoire and promises something for everyone is thrilling.

We are particularly excited to welcome back Lazarus Associate Jamie O’Neill to play the title role of Macbeth in what promises to be one of our most bloody and theatrical productions to date.
