Following a critically acclaimed run at Newcastle’s Alphabetti Theatre, Little Miss Christmas is jingling all the way to Southwark Playhouse Borough this festive season.

Running from Wednesday 10th December 2025 to Saturday 3rd January 2026, this campy, heartfelt drag spectacular stars cabaret sensation Patti Boo Rae (BOOTCUT, ChattiPatti) and features a rotating lineup of guest performers from London’s vibrant drag, cabaret, panto, and comedy scenes.

Audiences will be swept into a madcap beauty pageant with a Christmassy twist on classic categories: Interview, Swimsuit, Evening Wear, Talent, and Coronation. Expect live vocals, lip syncs, singalongs, quick changes, and even synchronized swimming.

Written by Coggin Galbreath (BOOTCUT, BIG MILK) and directed by Ryan Hay, Little Miss Christmas is a multimedia drag extravaganza that blends glitter and humour with sharp insights into identity, performativity, and the pressure to present perfection during the festive season.

The show draws inspiration from pop culture icons including Mean Girls, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Christine Baranski’s unforgettable turn in the 2000 live-action How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Writer Coggin Galbreath says, “I am beyond excited to bring LMX to Southwark Playhouse and demonstrate once again that queer work made at regional venues has the potential for growth. This is a show about looking around and thinking, what happened? How did we get here? It’s campy and silly and over-the-top, but I hope it also speaks to how a lot of us are feeling at the moment, and maybe even lightens the load.”

Performer Patti Boo Rae adds, “A lot of people are saying I should quit while I’m ahead, but mama didn’t raise no quitter. I look forward to returning to the Little Miss Christmas pageant and proving once and for all that Patti Boo Rae is the indisputable Queen of Christmas. Look out, Nigella Lawson.”

The production has already received glowing reviews, with Theatre and Tonic calling it “a festive must-see…camp doesn’t come close!” and Fairy Powered Productions praising it as a “feel-good, laugh-a-minute, high-energy delight from start to finish.”
