The Kit Kat Club will welcome Matt Willis for a special live conversation with award-winning journalist and bestselling author Bryony Gordon on Sunday 4 October.
Taking place at 5pm, the one-off event will see the BRIT Award-winning musician, actor, presenter and current Emcee in Cabaret discuss the release of his debut memoir, Mending: Busted, Breaking and Getting Better.
The book charts Willis’ journey from his childhood on a Surrey council estate through stage school, fame with Busted, personal struggles, parenthood and recovery. Described as more than a traditional celebrity memoir, it explores resilience, hope and the process of rebuilding after difficult experiences.
The event offers audiences the opportunity to hear Willis share his story live and in his own words, in an intimate setting at the Kit Kat Club.
Joining him in conversation is Bryony Gordon, the award-winning journalist, author and mental health campaigner. A Sunday Times bestselling writer, Gordon has published six bestselling books and is widely recognised for her work raising awareness of mental health issues through journalism, campaigning and podcasting.
The discussion is expected to explore the themes of recovery, identity, mental health and personal growth that underpin Willis’ memoir.
Willis has earned acclaim from theatre audiences for his performance as the Emcee in the West End production of Cabaret, while also enjoying a successful career in music, television and broadcasting.
