MEGA at Tristan Bates

The royal, the witch and the popstar have more in common than one might imagine. They may be liars, but aren’t we all?

A dark comedy unravelling the blurred lines between who we are and who we want to be.

Embarking on an unwanted journey of self discovery or self creation, three young women are faced with a cloudy truth. A story of doubt, stubbornness and intense delusion unfolds alongside unconventional friendship.

After being selected as a finalist in the 35th Annual One Act Festival at the Stockwell Playhouse, MEGA arrives this July for a limited run in the Tristan Bates 2019 summer season.

Laced with sharp wit and quirky humour, Alex Milne’s writing and directorial debut deconstructs the turbulent subject of female identity. In an age where ‘finding ourselves’ seems obligatory, three young women wade through truth and façade. This short play asks whether we find or create ourselves. Is there a difference?
