The smash-hit West End production of MJ the Musical has announced a final extension to its run at the Prince Edward Theatre, with performances now booking through to Saturday 28 February 2026.

The Olivier Award-winning show, which took home the trophy for Best Choreography and was nominated for Best New Musical, will conclude its two-year London run before embarking on a major UK tour in 2027.

In addition, producers have revealed plans for the first-ever international Asian tour of MJ the Musical, launching in October 2026 and set to visit major cities across the region over an initial two-year period.

These announcements mark a new chapter in the global success of MJ the Musical, which has already been seen by over 5 million people through acclaimed productions on Broadway, in London, Hamburg, Sydney, and on the U.S. National Tour, with Melbourne to follow later this year.

Featuring more than 25 of Michael Jackson’s greatest hits, the musical has been praised for its dynamic storytelling, electrifying performances, and its celebration of one of the most iconic entertainers in history.

The London cast is led by Jamaal Fields-Green in the title role, the only performer to have played MJ in three global productions—on Broadway, the US tour, and now in the West End.

He is joined by Matt Mills as Joseph Jackson / Rob, Mitchell Zhangazha as Michael, Philippa Stefani as Rachel, KoKo Alexandra as Katherine Jackson / Kate, Joshua C Jackson as Berry Gordy / Nick, and Rohan Pinnock-Hamilton as Tito Jackson / Quincy Jones.

The ensemble also includes Matt Gonsalves, Michael Conley, Kieran Alleyne, Johnny Bishop, André Phipps, and a large supporting cast of adult and young performers.

The creative team is led by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage and Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Christopher Wheeldon.

Design credits include Derek McLane (Scenic Design), Natasha Katz (Lighting), Paul Tazewell (Costume), Gareth Owen (Sound), Peter Nigrini (Projection), and Charles G. LaPointe (Wig & Hair).

Musical supervision is by David Holcenberg, with orchestrations and arrangements by Holcenberg and Jason Michael Webb.
