Dusty Limits Underbelly Festival

Dusty Limits Underbelly Festival

‘How does a little boy obsessed with dinosaurs grow up to become a louche cabaret singer in makeup and heels?’

That is the question that might – or might not – be answered as international cabaret star Dusty Limits returns to the Underbelly Festival Spiegeltent with a brand-new show. A clutch of original songs written with multiple award-winner Michael Roulston, about love, and lust, and life-after-death and the weird ways we manage to make ends meet, plus covers of the likes of Bowie, Lennox, Baby Dee and The Cure, backed by a full band and just barely held together by Dusty’s notorious scathing wit and sheer bloody-mindedness. There will be a ‘Best-Dressed’ competition for the most gender-f*cking outfit.

Described by Time Out London as ‘The Trailblazer’, Dusty Limits has been at the forefront of London cabaret for over a decade, and has performed everywhere from Joe’s Pub in New York to backroom bars in Berlin. His list of credits in London alone includes the Café de Paris, The Crazy Coqs at Brasserie Zedel, the Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, the London Wonderground, the Old Vic Tunnels and many more. www.dustylimits.co.uk

Michael Roulston is one of UK cabaret’s most in-demand musicians, composers and musical directors having worked with everyone from Meow Meow to Dillie Keane to Christine Bovill. https://michaelroulston.wordpress.com

Dusty Limits is at Underbelly on 20th September.
