In 1975 Teeth ‘n’ Smiles opened at the Royal Court, London and starred Helen Mirren as lead singer Maggie. It was subsequently revived at Wyndham’s Theatre in May 1976, at the Oxford Playhouse in October 1977 and at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield in 2002.

James Thacker began his career in the theatre as a professional dancer and actor, since early 2016 he has been associate director with the LOST Theatre company. His directing credits include Omar by Kasim Atlan , Harold Pinter’s The Dumb Waiter, Jez Butterworth’s Mojo in 2015 and Ella Hickson’s Boys in 2016.
