Production images have been released for the world premiere of Churchill’s Urinal, a new comedy by and starring Rosie Holt, playing at the King’s Head Theatre from 13 May to 6 June 2026.
Described as a “rambunctious romp through the corridors of power,” the play sees Holt take on the role of a newly appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer determined to modernise her Downing Street residence.
Trouble erupts when she attempts to remove an old urinal, only to discover it was first used by Winston Churchill, sparking national outrage and an unexpected campaign to preserve it.
The production also features additional material by Stewart Lee and co-stars Michael Lambourne.
The synopsis asks whether the Chancellor’s authority can withstand “the clamour for her Whitehall washroom to be awarded a Blue Plaque” as the nation becomes embroiled in the debate.
The show marks the latest stage work from Holt, best known for her satirical online persona which has garnered millions of views, as well as for her previous theatre show The Crown Live.
Direction comes from Daniel Clarkson, whose credits include Olivier Award nominees Potted Potter and Potted Panto, alongside the touring production Biff To The Future.
Churchill’s Urinal had an earlier reading at Shedinburgh and now receives its full world premiere production in London.
