The selection panel has been announced for the second Emma Gladstone Award, recognising and supporting innovative dance producers developing their careers.
Michael Morris will chair the panel, joined by Marcus Coates, Carolina Courbis, Vicki Igbokwe-Ozoagu and Hemabharathy Palani.
Applications for the 2026 to 2027 award cycle will open on 1 September and close on 30 October, with the winner set to be announced in February 2027.
The Emma Gladstone Award was established in February 2025 in recognition of the late Emma Gladstone OBE, a highly respected dance producer, programmer and curator who championed the development of emerging talent throughout her career.
The annual award provides £7,000 to support international travel and related costs, enabling a dance producer to expand their practice, gain new perspectives and build global connections.
Applicants will be required to submit a CV, a letter of support and a detailed project proposal outlining timelines and budget, with the panel seeking “transformative, visionary ideas” that enhance the recipient’s producing capacity and knowledge.
The award is overseen by a board of leading arts professionals and figures from Emma Gladstone’s wider network, and continues her legacy of nurturing creative talent and encouraging innovation across the dance sector.
The inaugural recipient was Jiaxin Chen, a Netherlands-based dance artist, dramaturg and curator working across dance and theatre.
