Shona McGarty has joined the cast of From The Heart, Don Black’s acclaimed musical celebration, which returns to the West End for a limited 15-performance run at the Garrick Theatre this October.
The actor and singer, best known for her role in EastEnders and her recent appearance on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, will star alongside Olivier Award nominee Frances Mayli McCann in the production, which runs from 8 to 18 October 2026.
McGarty said: “I am so excited to be part of this show. Don Black is such a legend, and I’m honoured to be singing his songs!”
Refined and expanded following its concert performances in 2025, From The Heart is directed by Nick Winston and celebrates the work of Oscar-winning lyricist Don Black through a mixture of new songs and beloved classics.
Joining McCann and McGarty in the cast are internationally acclaimed performer Caroline O’Connor, Olivier Award winner Clive Rowe and two-time Olivier Award nominee Michael D. Xavier.
The production serves as Black’s tribute to the New York cabaret scene and features new songs created with a host of renowned collaborators, including Gary Barlow, Natasha Bedingfield, David Arnold, Debbie Wiseman and Mike Batt.
Under the musical direction of Joe Church, with arrangements and musical supervision by Nick Barstow, the show will also feature a surprise special guest at every performance.
Audiences can expect a finale packed with some of Black’s best-known songs, including Born Free, Ben, Love Changes Everything, With One Look, To Sir With Love and As If We Never Said Goodbye, alongside a celebration of his iconic James Bond theme songs.
With a career spanning more than five decades, Black has written lyrics for some of the most celebrated songs in film, television and theatre. From The Heart brings together the stories, collaborations and music that have defined his remarkable career.
