The producers of SIX have announced the worldwide release of the musical’s first-ever Korean-language studio album, available from today across all major streaming and download platforms.
Released via 6 Music, the show’s in-house record label, the album features six performers from the original Korean production: Sonnet Son, Jiwoo Kim, Hyena Park, Hyunsun Choi, Ryeowon Kim and Juhye Yoo.
Produced as a pop studio album and performed entirely in Korean, the recording brings the score of SIX to new audiences while preserving the show’s trademark humour, attitude and empowering spirit.
The album has been produced by Joe Beighton, Tom Curran, Sam Featherstone, Toby Marlow, Lucy Moss and Katy Richardson. The recording also features the original Korean band, led by Music Director Eunyoung Kim, alongside Jisoo Chae, Dasom Wi, Jihye Lee and Seungah Hong.
The release follows another significant international milestone earlier this year, when SIX unveiled its first official Spanish-language recording ahead of the musical’s premiere in Madrid. Together, the releases reflect the continued global expansion of the hit British musical.
Created by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, SIX began life as a student production at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017 before becoming a worldwide success, playing in the West End, on Broadway and across multiple international territories.
The Korean album arrives during another major year for the show. In London, SIX has extended its booking period at the Vaudeville Theatre until November 2027, while the Broadway production continues its run at the Lena Horne Theatre. New productions and engagements are also scheduled in Spain, Australia, China and Luxembourg.
The recording comes ahead of SIX’s return to South Korea for its second Korean-language season, opening on 15 December 2026 at the HONGIK DAEHANGNO Art Center, Grand Theatre in Seoul. The production will run until 1 March 2027 and will feature a 12-strong cast made up of returning and newly crowned Queens.
The original Korean production premiered in 2023, becoming both the first Asian production of SIX and the musical’s first official non-English-language staging.
The success of the musical’s recordings continues to grow. The original SIX the Musical (UK Studio Cast Recording) achieved Platinum certification in 2026, while SIX: Live on Opening Night earned a Grammy Award nomination and reached number one on the Billboard Cast Album Chart. Collectively, music from SIX has now been streamed more than 5.5 billion times worldwide.
Winner of more than 35 international awards, including Tony Awards for Best Original Score and Best Costume Design, SIX has become one of the most successful British musicals of the modern era, continuing to expand its Queendom across the globe.
