The sixteenth cast of Agatha Christie’s Witness for the Prosecution has been announced as the long-running production at London County Hall enters its tenth year and extends its booking period until 19 September 2027.
Producers Rebecca Stafford and Eleanor Lloyd have confirmed a new company led by Matthew McGivern, making his West End debut as Leonard Vole, alongside Sophie Craig, who also makes her West End debut as Romaine Vole.
Joining them are Jo Stone-Fewings as Sir Wilfrid Robarts QC, Crispin Redman as Mr Mayhew, Jude Owusu as Mr Myers QC and David Shaw-Parker as Mr Justice Wainwright.
The wider company will feature Sahar Awad, Philip Battley, William Baylis, Siobhan Bevan, Garon Akbar Clark, Michael Cusick, Anthony Ofoegdu, Sean Paul Jenkinson, Io Munro, Caroline Partridge, Tom Richardson and Tristan Rivelle.
The new cast will begin performances on 22 September 2026 in the immersive courtroom drama, which has played at London County Hall since 2017 and continues to attract audiences with its unique site-specific staging.
Directed by Lucy Bailey, the production places audiences at the heart of Christie’s gripping murder trial, where Leonard Vole stands accused of killing a wealthy widow and the shocking twists of the case unfold in an authentic courtroom setting.
The acclaimed production has become one of London’s most successful long-running plays and received Best Revival nominations at both the Olivier Awards and WhatsOnStage Awards in 2018.
Witness for the Prosecution is designed by William Dudley, with lighting design by Chris Davey, sound design by Mic Pool and casting by Ben Armstrong.
The extension coincides with the forthcoming British Library exhibition Agatha Christie: A World of Mystery, opening on 30 October 2026. The major exhibition will explore the life and work of the celebrated author and will feature items from Witness for the Prosecution.
