Following a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Sophie’s Surprise Party is set to light up London this festive season with a strictly limited run at Underbelly Boulevard Soho.

Opening on 11th November 2025, this immersive circus spectacle promises a wild blend of jaw-dropping acrobatics, nostalgic tunes from the 90s and 00s, and high-energy comedy.

Presented by Underbelly and Three Legged Race Productions, Sophie’s Surprise Party is not just a show—it’s the Christmas party everyone will be talking about.

Each night, one lucky audience member becomes “Sophie,” the surprise guest of honour at a house party that spirals into circus-fuelled chaos. With no two performances the same, expect the unexpected.

The cast features elite performers from Cirque du Soleil, La Clique, and The 7 Fingers, including Cornelius Atkinson, Josie Jones, Emily McCarthy, and Willem McGowan.

“We wanted to create a show that felt like stepping into a shared fever dream – part house party, part fantasy, and totally unforgettable,” said co-creator and performer Katharine Arnold.

Ed Bartlam, co-director of Underbelly, added: “Sophie’s Surprise Party is Underbelly’s new Christmas night out – jaw-dropping, hilarious, and the perfect way to spend a winter evening. After its sell-out success at the Fringe, we can’t wait to bring it to London in its new Soho home.”

Directed by Katharine Arnold, Isis Clegg-Vinell and Nathan Price, the show features aerial acts, fire performances, and a euphoric soundtrack that will transport audiences straight back to their favourite house parties.

So dust off your halter tops, rewind your Walkman, and get ready to dance like it’s your party… because tonight, it just might be.
