The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre will host Dame Penelope Keith for an insightful retrospective discussion with fellow comedic heavyweight, Mel Giedroyc.

This must-see event will take place live at Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre on Wed 6 Dec. This special fundraising event is in aid of their Play Your Part campaign; a capital project that will radically improve sustainability and accessibility of the venue. It will be used to create new multi-purpose spaces for wider community and artistic benefit; ensuring the theatre is able to meet the needs of the communities of Surrey for the next 50 years.

Dame Penelope is an icon of stage and screen. Well-known for her comedic prowess in popular British television series, including The Good Life and To The Manor Born, and for her acclaimed theatrical performances such as in Noël Coward’s Star Quality, and recently The Importance of Being Earnest (West End and tour) and The Chalk Garden (Chichester Festival Theatre). Interviewing Dame Penelope will be TV favourite, Mel Giedroyc.

Mel Giedroyc is a TV presenter, writer and actress. She is known for her work alongside Sue Perkins in shows such as the multi Bafta-winning Great British Bake Off (BBC) and Light Lunch (Channel 4), which made them household names. Mel has appeared in sitcoms and panel shows, as well as on stage, most recently in Stephen Sondheim’s Olivier-Award winning Company at the Gielgud Theatre in the West End. Mel is currently in The Crown Jewels with Al Murray.

Don’t miss this unrivalled opportunity to see great artists up-close, and support the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre!
